Islamabad: A meeting held between President Arif Alvi and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Current Economic Situation of Pakistan.
At a meeting in Aiwan-e-Sadr, the finance minister briefed the president on various measures the government has taken to provide assistance to the general public, especially the disadvantaged and those affected by the floods.
Various financial and economic issues were also discussed.
Earlier, in an online meeting with Nathan Porter, the head of his mission to Pakistan at the IMF, Dar reiterated the government’s commitment to successfully complete the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program.
The head of the IMF mission expressed a willingness to look favorably on targeted assistance to poor and vulnerable people in Pakistan, especially those affected by the floods.
